The Kominka Collective's mission is to save Japanese kominka folk houses and other traditional structures while preserving Japanese building arts. We are a not-for-profit company.

The temple keeper's house at Konsaiji Temple is going to be taken down after August 2025. The doma earthern floor kitchen area of the house is  truly exceptional. It is possible to disassemble and relocate all or parts of the house. The price varies depending on if we do work on the structure here in Japan or if it is sent as is.
